As a church we have our leadership team (see below) as well as a pattern of pastoral oversight where everyone can be cared for through individual relationship and a Pastoral Care Team, plus the general care of midweek groups and the overall care of the elders.
Martin & Sue Pearson
Martin and Sue have led the fellowship since mid 1999. Having met at Bible College in Vancouver, Canada they have been involved at all levels of church leadership since then. A former chairman of Churches Together in Stroud and Ignition, Martin is a trustee of SCF and also Salt & Light Ministries Europe. Sue is one of SCF's worship leaders, and manager of the Stroud 'Christians Against Poverty' centre. They have two married adult sons and a beautiful first grandaughter.
Phil & Rachel Coysh
Having retired early from a career in banking and finance, Phil is now Regional Development Officer (South) for the Trussell Trust which oversees over 420 foodbanks in the UK. A former Chairman of Churches Together in Stroud, Phil runs Ignition, a local Christian event charity, and is committed to seeing local churches working together in evangelism and social action. Rachel is responsible for Tiddlywinks and Tiddlywinks Too, both SCF initiatives for families in the Stroud area, and has her own baking business (see here). Together they are passionate about justice for the poor and, in particular, the Philippine Community Fund. Phil and Rachel have four children.
Barrie & Helen Voyce
Barrie and Helen have lived in Stroud since 2009. Barrie is CEO at The Door Youth Project and Chairman of Street Pastors Stroud. Helen works for the St Vincent de Paul Society as a regional Locality Manager. She is a graduate of KST, Salt and Light's school of Theology. They have a passion to share God's love with non-Christians, and a heart for ensuring that SCF is inclusive to all.
Harvey & Denise Fry
Harvey and Denise are a local couple with a passion for the Stroud area. They are both long time members of SCF and have, and continue to, serve the church in many different capacities. Harvey works in information technology and is part of the Worshp Group. Denise was a secondary school teacher before releasing that in order to care for their four young children. Denise is the church treasurer.
Graham has been part of Stroud Christian fellowship for over 15 years, he was formerly a Warrant Officer in the army which gave him a real heart for the relational issues affecting the lives of men and their families; he now runs his own business within the IT industry. He has been married to Fiona for 14 years and they have 4 adult children and 8 grandchildren.
Merethe Dahl Turner
Merethe (pronounced Maretta) is the newest member of our leadership team and was appointed as our new Mission & Youth pastor in, September 2015. Her role is to focus specifically on our work in the Paganhill/Farmhill area of Stroud and to oversee the youth work.
Merethe is from Norway and first came over to England to do a 6 months Bible school gap year, but never really left. She just graduated with a Bachelor in Theology and Mission with a specialisation in youthministry, and has spent the last 4 years as a South West Youth Ministry (SWYM) Trainee. Along the way she also picked up an English husband.
